Clarification on the Gayatri Mantra.

Aum Bhur Bhuvah Suvaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo devasya dhimahi
Dhiyo Yo nah Prachodayat

Clarification on the Gayatri Mantra.

Aum Bhur Bhuvah Suvaha

Bhur: Existence of entities at Lower Levels (Lower Plane)
Influence Mooladhara, Swadisthana, and Manipura

Bhuvah: Existence of entities at Middle Level (Mid Level Plane)
Influence Anahata and Vishuddha

Suvaha: Existence of entities at Higher Level (All Higher Planes)
Influence Ajna and Sahasrara

Bhur, Bhuvah, and Suvaha represent the Earth and the lokas of the planes beyond our physical world. (Globes of Astral Plane, Globes of Mental Plane, Etc)

Tat Savitur Varenyam

Tat: Creator or Creative Brahman (Tat Tvam Asi)

Savitur: Shakti of Parabramha.
The creative brahman, whose shakti is Savitri.
(The Creator is called Savita because He creates.)

Varenyam: Provide us the Best or Supreme. (సర్వోత్తమ)

Oh Parabrahman, grant us the supreme power of 'Savitur' to all entities across all planes.

Bhargo devasya dhimahi

Bhargo Devasya: Supreme Lord or Creator

Dhimahi: We meditate upon

Oh Supreme Deva, this is the reason we are meditating.

Dhiyo Yo nah Prachodayat

Dhiyo : Higher or Abstract Mind, which corresponds to the Higher Mental Plane.
(Role of Higher Mind: Thought-processing ability that identifies and differentiates between good and bad, dharma and adharma, etc.)

Yo nah: of us

Prachodayat: Guide to right direction.

Please guide our higher thought-processing ability to differentiate between good and bad in the right direction.

Note:

The intention of using 'Aum' in the Gayatri Mantra is for the well-being of the entire universe; there is no selfishness.

Using 'Aum,' especially in Kundalini Yoga, is to awaken one's own Kundalini. Aum has that potential, and the motive is self-focused. For this reason, 'Aum' is strictly not used in Master's Yoga.

Master's Yoga is for the progress of all humanity, strictly in alignment with the Supreme Lord, and there is no place for self-focused development.

Savitur: Old books, such as Sir John Woodroffe's The Serpent Power, reference the word 'Savitur' (117 - Cakra, Padma).

For Devas Savitr, is seen as the life-giving shakti that sustains devas immortality.
For Humans Savitr, is seen as the life-giving shakti to grant a longer life and vitality.
